Why this course

The Caribbean region has long been locked into being digital consumers, not producers. Accordingly, we need a gateway course that opens the door to digital productivity for "all." A Java based, object oriented introductory course offers a path to that, and by also introducing HTML and Python as linked gateway approaches to markup languages and scripting, the gate is made broader. There is no pretence at being made into experts, but the gate is to be opened. END
